This is our 200th blog post and we couldn’t be more excited about the exposure it’s gotten. FMG continues to grow and it’s because of our awesome customers and followers — THANK YOU!
A few weeks ago, we asked our followers on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram to share their best showmanship advice.
Thanks to all who participated, we got some awesome tips and we’re sharing our favorites here on the blog today. Just in time for showmanship at junior nationals, county fairs and other shows this summer.
On Facebook our FMG fans shared this advice:
Kristen Ewing – “You win shows at home.”
Ethan Hanold – “No pressure…be perfect”
On Twitter:
And on Instagram, we got the largest response [78 likes and 10 comments]:
@haleydennis4 says, “Take advantage of showmanship by just sitting in the stands a few times and watching, more importantly keeping an eye on those kids that consistently win. There’s always room for improvement and new showmanship techniques!”
@chrihh_ says, “It’s not just getting the feet placed, it’s making sure the top is down, the head and neck are right too. Make sure you’re not goofing off in the make up ring, because the judge is always watching. First impressions are everything.”
Good luck to everyone showing this summer. It’s great to see all your long hours in the barn pay off, plus meet a few friends along the way.
