Shella Langford, Creative Video Manager

1. Tell us about your responsibilities at FMG.
I am the Promotional Video Manager and part of the Creative Photo Division.

2. When did you start with FMG.
December 2013

3. Share a little bit about your background in the livestock industry.
My family raised Hereford Cattle for generations in two of the coldest places in Colorado, Kremmling and Gunnison.  My family sold their ranch in Kremmling in the 1970?s but I was very lucky to still have been influenced by cattle growing up when visiting my families ranch in Gunnison, Colorado. Outside of the cattle industry I was very fortunate to have been able to show horses starting at the very young age of 8.  I was a member of the American Junior Quarter Horse Association and my family has been a long time member of the American Quarter Horse Association.  I have a true love for both cattle and horses and so blessed to have a career within both industries.

4. What?s is the best part about your job at FMG?
First it would be the amazing people who make FOCUS the force that it is.  I can not think of a better group of people that I have the honor to call friends and whom I get to work with and be a part of.  I am very excited to be a part of the newest division within focus the Promotional Video Division.  This division will combine several important aspects of the cattle and equine industries and allow us to give our customers a high powered marketing tool to showcase their individual programs.  Stay tuned!  We will be rolling out our first sample very soon!!  After that it would be our customers and the animals, I love being part of the two creative divisions within FOCUS where I get the opportunity to capture them in their natural state and then get to share their beauty with the world.  Finally, the rare gift of being able to do what I love for a living!  Getting out and meeting new people at shows or visiting beautiful farms and ranches

5. When working on a project, what?s your favorite tool?
My Nikon Camera, I love the capabilities this piece of equipment has from still pictures to video productions I don?t see how anything I do would be possible without it!!

6. You?re cruising down the road, what are you listening to on the radio?
I am in love with Texas Country & Red Dirt music and have been for a very long time so these days I find myself addicted to 95.9 The Ranch – my kind of music all day long.  If it?s not The Ranch coming through my speakers then it?s going to be songs that I can sing along within any genre I have no prejudices – if its music and I am singing or dancing then I am a happy girl!!!

7. Outside of work, what are your hobbies?
Palm reading, skydiving, and playing the drums!  Just joking but man that would be so cool if that were true – I guess its never to late to learn or do any of those.  Hmmm, something to think about in my spare time.  But seriously? live music, photography hanging out with friends old and new,  enjoying good food, new recipes, new restaurants, and as of late exercising.

8. Share something we might not know.
I have something very important in common with Bruno Mars? We are both Filipino!!  Also, I won the NWSS Quarter Horse Show in the Open Hunt Seat when I was 13.  I was the youngest in my class by several years and was showing against people and trainers who had been doing it a lot longer than I had.  A very proud and exciting moment!
