Meet the Staff – Robin Kleine

Today, we’re featuring Robin Kleine on the blog. Robin joined the FMG crew two years ago, and now does a little bit of everything for us!

Robin Kleine, Social Media Manager / Creative Photo Manager / Field Staff / Print & Web

1. Tell us about your responsibilities at FMG.
I wear a lot of different hats. I handle all of our FMG social media accounts, as well as about 12 more for customers. I also take pictures and videos, as well as work on the print and web design side of our business! I like to be busy …

2. When did you start with FMG.
I?m celebrating two years with Focus on 2/22!

3. Share a little bit about your background in the livestock industry.
I grew up on a farm in NW Indiana, and finally when my brother was old enough to join 4-H … we got our first show steers. It was game over! I haven?t thought about much else besides show cattle since 2002. I graduated in 2012 from K-State with a degree in Ag Comm & Animal Sciences and returned to Indiana. At home, I get to work on FMG projects all day and still be on hand for calving and other farm tasks.

4. What?s is the best part about your job at FMG?
The connections in this industry are insane. A mentor and friend of mine from Kansas recommended me to Kyla and Jaecke. Now, every day I talk to fellow livestock enthusiasts across the country from California to Pennsylvania. This common bond is something special!

5. When working on a project, what?s your favorite tool?
The best thing for my position is the ability to schedule social media posts! I get everything scheduled the night before or in the morning before I leave for a shoot and I can still get the word out about FMG & our customers without physically sitting in front of my computer all day.

6. You?re cruising down the road, what are you listening to on the radio?
Audiobooks! I listened to something like 8 full books this fall while traveling. It?s really helpful to have a story to follow along with when you?re driving late into the night. If that doesn?t work, I sing along to Cross Canadian Ragweed or Mariah Carey very loudly and off – key … I?ve even been known to throw down to Lil Wayne on occasion.

7. Outside of work, what are your hobbies?
I always jokingly tell people I?m only interested in cows & food. So if I?m not at a cow show, I?m trying out a new recipe or a new restaurant. I?m also trying to travel when I can to catch up with my friends spread out all over the country.

8. Share something we might not know.
Coffee is a really important part of my daily routine and I have a golden retriever named Cougar who is more like my child.
