Livestock Publications Council Contest

At FMG, we understand the importance of industry involvement. Part of being successful in business includes networking and bonding over a common cause — in our case, animal agriculture.

We are proud members of the Livestock Publications Council (LPC).

According to the website, “[LPC is] an international organization serving the dynamic livestock communications industry. Founded in 1974, this non-profit organization was designed to serve the livestock publishing industry. Its goal is to provide a forum through which members can obtain information on how to improve their overall effectiveness and value to both readers and advertisers. LPC functions as an information exchange by allowing publication personnel and other members to discuss common problems with peers and arrive at workable solutions that benefit both.”

Additionally, our very own Kent Jaecke is currently serving as a director on the LPC Board.

Recently, our FMG team submitted a few design projects in the 2013 LPC Critique Contest, and won first place in Category 40: 2 Color Livestock Ad, with an ad designed by Amanda Reeson Holt. The winners were announced at the 2014 Ag Media Summit in Indianapolis, Ind.

This winning ad ran in the State Fair issue of The Show Circuit in 2013.

We look forward to competing in this contest in the future! Watch for Jaecke and other FMG members at LPC events throughout the year. If you have any questions about the organization, we invite you to contact our good friend Diane Johnson, LPC Executive Director with any questions.
