Here’s a quick example of Kassidy Bremer, the Res. Champ Chianina Steer. |
Now we realize not everyone at the show gets to stand at the backdrop with a champion. That’s obviously not the result we want, but every once in a while, we need to think about the judge’s opinion too. It’s hard work out there people.
Here’s a quote from www.livestockjudges.org and the renowned judge Jack Ward.
?When I first started judging, I thought I would please everyone. Obviously, that does not happen. As a matter of fact, I have had folks mad at me after a show that had the grand champion because I did not talk their animal right or maybe they thought they should have won more with other animals. It is the nature of the game. In most cases, I do not get confrontational. Just listen and try to again give them your thoughts, but in most cases just let them vent. I could tell several stories on this subject just like most all judges.? ? Jack Ward
